Here’s a new strategy for using the five questions in The First Five. It’s called “Pick One.” We learned about this strategy from a teacher while working on a secondary campus last year!
Simply display the image with the five questions on your digital board. Number or letter each question. Read each question to the students in your class and ask them to come up with an answer to one of them. Before they answer, they let the class know what number question they are answering and then give the answer. It’s that simple!
I love this strategy because it gives students the choice of what question to answer. I’ve used it with many campuses as I’ve modeled ways to implement The First Five, and it always works out so well!
