Happy March!

March always feels like a turning point. The days start getting a little longer, the sunlight hangs around a bit more in the afternoon, and there’s a quiet sense that something new is just around the corner. Even when the weather can’t quite make up its mind, there’s a renewed energy in our classrooms. Students are settling into routines, relationships are growing stronger, and those small daily moments of connection continue to add up in powerful ways.

March is also Women’s History Month, and throughout the coming weeks, you’ll see quotes, videos, and stories that highlight the voices, achievements, and impact of women who have shaped our world. These moments are an opportunity to spark conversation, curiosity, and reflection, while helping students see examples of courage, leadership, and possibility in action.

We also recognize that Ramadan begins this month for many students, educators, and families. With this in mind, we have done our best to be thoughtful in our content and reduce much of the food-related material during this time, while continuing to create moments that foster connection, care, and belonging for all students.

As always, our goal is simple: to help you create small, meaningful moments that remind students they matter. Moments that build confidence, strengthen relationships, and set the tone for learning.

We’re so glad you’re here. We hope today’s First Five helps you and your students start the day feeling connected, supported, and ready for whatever March brings.
