Every day, we open our inbox and hear from so many of you- teachers, administrators and educators. Most of the time, your messages bring encouragement, helpful ideas, or stories from your classrooms that keep us inspired. And sometimes, we hear critiques, and that’s okay too.
We welcome all kinds of feedback. It helps us grow. But we also want to share a bit of perspective from our side of the screen.
We’re a small team of real people working hard to provide something that’s free, useful, and meaningful to classrooms everywhere. Running ads isn’t our favorite thing either, but it is what allows us to keep the lights on, pay our team, and continue delivering this resource at no cost to educators. Without ads, the alternative would be paywalls, and that’s something we’ve worked hard to avoid.
Our community spans not just the country, but the globe. That means we’re designing for a wide range of backgrounds, needs, and belief systems. It’s not always possible to make every single person happy, but we always aim to create content that is thoughtful and respectful.
And on the tech side, we’re constantly evolving. Sometimes we’re testing new tools or updating our systems in real time, and we know that can be bumpy. But every change we make is with one goal in mind: to improve your experience and make this resource even more impactful in your classroom.
It is our joy and privilege to do this work. We love what we do, and we believe deeply in the value of those first five minutes of class. We’re going to keep showing up, keep listening, and keep doing our best to serve you well.
