“Sell Me On It” is a great way to do Quick Connects with a twist!
Here’s how it works:
Choose one person to be the “customer.” You can be the customer, but I found that it was something many students eagerly wanted to be. You pick!
The rest of the classroom is presented with the Quick Connect. Share the question and the options given.
Randomly assign students (or have them work in seating clusters or the groups they sit in) to one of the answers.
Give each group 1-2 minutes to brainstorm up to a 30-second pitch to the customer on why their choice is better than the others. Use a timer to keep the groups focused on the time limit (and to keep this as a quick activity!)
Each group pitches their idea to the customer. The customer selects the answer they are sold on!
Enjoy the laughs and the creativity of each group. Make sure you join one of the groups if you choose not to be the customer!
