Our new First Five Scope & Sequence page is live!
For the first time, you can look ahead at the entire 2026-27 First Five year in one convenient place. Whether you are planning next week’s morning meetings or mapping out school-wide themes months in advance, this new resource gives you a clearer picture of where the First Five is headed.
See the Year Ahead
The Scope & Sequence includes the upcoming themed editions, character-focused days, seasonal celebrations, heritage months, special observances, and fun surprises planned throughout the school year.
You can also see the difference between:
- Full themed editions, when every First Five component connects to one shared focus
- Sprinkle days, when we sprinkle in a few activities to recognize an occasion while the rest of the edition follows the usual daily mix
- Breaks and other days when the First Five will be paused
The 2026-27 calendar currently includes 215 daily editions, 65 full themed editions, and 25 sprinkle days, beginning August 3 and continuing through June 17.
Plan Around Character Traits and Skills
The Scope & Sequence also gives you a closer look at the intentional skills and character traits practiced throughout the First Five.
Explore the 45 skills layered across PK-12, including foundational skills for our youngest learners, core skills practiced across grade levels, and additional skills introduced in the Primary and Secondary editions.
This makes it easier to plan ahead, connect the First Five to classroom or campus goals, and clearly communicate what students are practicing during those important first five minutes.
